Casa Neruda is named after the popular Chilean poet, Pablo Neruda, born in 1904. Although Neruda wrote poems about political and social matters, his most beautiful poems, dedicated to his wife Matilde Urrutia, are about Love. Neruda’s life inspired the 1994 movie, Il Postino, The Postman, about a simple Italian postman who learns to love poetry and life while delivering mail to the famous poet, Neruda. “Laughter,” says Neruda, “is a fire that feeds our life.”

Casa Neruda was designed for the sharing of love and laughter on its two beautiful wrought iron balconies and rooms with spectacular views of the sea. Our guests are frequently delighted by the joy, lightness and beauty of Casa Neruda.

“Oh, may your silhouette never dissolve on the beach;
may your eyelids never flutter into the empty distance.
Don’t leave me for a second, my dearest, ” — Pablo Neruda
